Hi. We are visiting WDW on 06/23 & 06/24...2 Adults, 3 Kids (ages 7 & 12 yr old twins). Are we allowed to take our backpacks on the rides with us? And is there anything special going on at WDW those 2 days? Thanks.

As for special events taking place during your stay, Michelle, the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series will be in full force at Epcot.  Currently, Stayin' Alive -- A Tribute to the Bee Gees is on the schedule for your trip dates, though that is subject to change.

Guests are permitted to carry reasonably sized bags/purses onto attractions, though if your backpacks are particularly large it might not be comfortable to do so.  In most cases you can either place the bag at your feet or on your lap.  Often times thrill rides have mesh compartments on the seat back in front of you that provide an ideal spot to store your belongings.  Size is limited, though, so be aware that larger bags might not fit.

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
