Hello Michelle! I hope you have your “Countdown to Disney” going because your magical vacation will be here before you know it! Understanding crowd levels certainly does help with planning your days at the Disney Parks.
April can be a popular month at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Easter holiday crowds will most likely have subsided prior to your arrival during the third week of April. However, some spring break visitors might be enjoying Mickey and Minnie’s Florida residence. With that in mind, Fridays and Mondays tend to be popular days at Magic Kingdom Park. You might experience smaller crowds on different days of the week.
Michelle, I want to share a few PRO TIPS with you for managing those crowds. If you are staying at a hotel in the
Walt Disney World Resorts Collection, or some of the “good neighbor” resorts, you will have early access to the parks every morning for 30 minutes prior to park opening! This is an amazing opportunity to experience some of the attractions with shorter wait times! Also, Guests staying at deluxe resorts can stay in select parks later in the evening for
Extended Evening Hours on select nights! This is another good way to experience smaller crowds and reduced wait times. While subject to change, these hours are typically available at EPCOT on Monday nights and at Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesday nights.
Also, if you are looking for shorter wait times, another option to consider is
Disney Genie+. This ticket “add on” will allow you to experience select attractions with shorter wait times. You can purchase Disney Genie+ through your My Disney Experience app on your mobile device.
Happy planning!
Jonathan
