Hi, Shannon! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the
holiday season! What could be more magical than seeing
Cinderella Castle adorned in hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights? Be sure to stop by
Disney's Grand Floridan Resort & Spa to marvel at the
life-size gingerbread house display. The holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I'm sure you'll love it too!
Shannon, you made an excellent choice in your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I had the opportunity to stay at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort last fall, and I quickly fell in love with this beautiful resort hotel property. Be sure to spend some time exploring the Gran Destino Tower. This recent addition to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is breathtakingly beautiful! You can marvel at the details of the gorgeous 2-story lobby while enjoying a drink at
Barcelona Lounge.
If you take the elevator to the top of Gran Destino Tower, you will find
Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood. I highly recommend
booking a reservation for this unique rooftop dining experience. While you're at the top of the tower, feel free to also stop into
Dahlia Lounge to unwind with a cocktail while you take in the spectacular views. If you time your visit just right, you may even catch a glimpse of the fireworks from one of the theme park's
nighttime spectaculars.
One of my favorite spots at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is
Three Bridges Bar & Grill. You can find this laid-back, open-air lounge at the convergence of three bridges in the middle of Lago Dorado. Dining in the middle of the lake is so relaxing, and the menu offers many delicious sharable bites.
Don't forget to pack your swimsuit, Shannon! You don't want to miss the pools at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You'll love the Dig Site pool complex, where the Lost City of Cibola pool is home to a 50-foot Mayan pyramid and a 123-foot-long waterslide! The weather in Florida can still be quite warm in December, and the resort hotel pools are always heated to a comfortable temperature, so why not spend your holiday season pool-side!
Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Samantha
