We will be visiting Typhoon Lagoon next week with 3 children, 4, 2 and 1 month. Is there plenty of shady spots for the baby near Ketchakidee Creek and how stroller friendly is the park?

    Hi Kristy!

My family LOVES the Walt Disney World water parks!  You can catch us there practically every weekend in the summer months.  We always bring our double stroller.  It's easy to get in and out of the park, especially with water logged and tired kiddos at the end of the day.  The walking paths are wide and the bathrooms are large enough to be able to maneuver around with a stroller.

Typhoon Lagoon is our favorite water park.  We spend about half our day in Ketchakidee Creek.  There are a lot of shady sections nearby that have lounge chairs and overhangs.  If you get there early, you shouldn't have a problem grabbing a section for your family.  The area is kind of split into two sections.  If you take the first bridge, you will find a couple of shaded spots.  If those are taken, go past the bridge and on to the next left turn.  You will find there are more spots and probably a better chance of getting some shaded room.  Most guests stop at the first area not realizing there is another section just beyond it.

Even though we spend a lot of time in Ketchakidee Creek, we like to park our stuff by Crush "n"Gusher.  There is a huge sandy area, lots of shade and the biggest zero entry pool without waves at the park.  This pool is great for my 5 and 2 year old to be able to splash around in since the water is calm, it's never crowded (like the Surf Pool) and they can walk in to a depth that they are comfortable with.  It is a lot easier to keep track of your kiddos in this pool than in Ketchakidee Creek and we like to grab lunch and bring it back to our spot here.  There are a few picnic tables for taking a lunch break.

I have no doubt that you will have an amazing time at Typhoon Lagoon.

    Have a magical day!
