Hi April!
I'm so excited to see you will be at
Walt Disney World Resort in a few short weeks! Adding a
water park to your itinerary is a splash-tastic idea! We recently visited
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and enjoyed every minute of it!
Swim shirts are allowed on the attractions. There are a few attractions where water shoes are not permitted. When this happens, you can simply hold them. A few years ago, I saw a Guest put his water shoes on his hands like they were gloves. I followed his example and it worked very well.
I'm so glad you asked about water shoes. You will definitely want to have them at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. The warm Florida sun can make the pavement very hot.
While a secure two piece suit might be fine, I definitely recommend a one piece. Experiencing a wardrobe challenge as you race down a slide isn't the best way to spend your day. In this case, it's much better to be safe than sorry. My daughter has a secure two piece that she begged to wear to the water parks. We negotiated and she wore her two piece at our
Resort hotel. After she saw a couple of other Guests adjusting their swimsuits as they were exiting some attractions, she was happy with this choice.
Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Please let me know if you have any other questions as you get ready to soak up some fun at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!
