Hello we are visiting two Disney parks in May which is the 26 and the 27 . The 27 my toddler turns three do we have to pay regular admission for him that day or does he get in for free since we purchase the tickets together since the 26?

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm excited that your little guy is going to get to spend his birthday at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Because he will still be 2 when your vacation begins, Walt Disney World will consider him to be 2 years old throughout your visit. So there's no need to add a ticket for him in the middle of your trip. He is welcome to accompany you into the park ticket-free and will not need his own FastPass+ for rides and attractions you have made FastPass+ reservations for (as long, of course, as he meets the height requirements), He also will eat free at any all-you-care-to eat buffet or family style dining and can eat from your plate without additional charge as well.

Walt Disney World is a terrific place for a birthday celebration. Make sure you stop by a Guest Relations location in the theme parks to pick up a free "Happy Birthday" button for him. Guests who wear the button on their special day get lots of birthday greetings and, occasionally, some extra pixie dust.

There's so much to do in the Walt Disney World theme parks for toddlers and preschoolers, Kelly. You may find this guide to visiting with preschoolers and little kids helpful as you make your final plans. It contains tips for making visits with smaller children even more magical and includes the complete list of rides and attractions that are accessible to all, including infants and toddlers.

Please let us know if we can help in any other way as you make your final plans. Wishing you and your son a memorable, magical vacation!
