we are visiting Thanksgiving week and are trying to decide if it will be too cold for the waterparks then? Has anyone experienced the water parks at that time of year and could provide some input? Thanks!

Hi Carrie!  I just answered a similar question from another guest wondering about swimming at the water parks in December.  There just isn't a simple answer as the Florida weather is ever changing at this time of year. I have been down there and felt like it was the middle of summer and then also been down there at that time and had to buy everyone new Disney sweatshirts because it was so cold!

My suggestion to guests who want to try one of the great water parks is to plan an afternoon for this in your schedule with something planned as a backup.  Don't try going too early in the morning when the air temperatures are still quite cool. The water is heated to 82 degrees but remember that you are out of the water a good bit standing in lines. You can make the decision about going once you are there and you can feel what the weather guru has sent to Florida during your vacation!

Blizzard Beach is my water park of choice so if the weather does cooperate enjoy your time in the water. The thrills and spills are amazing at both parks and just being lazy and going around the perimeter in a nice floating tube is my idea of relaxation!
