    I am visiting in September and I am going to book my dining reservations at the end of this month Do I need to purchase my dining plan points before I make my reservations as I wish to book a Character meal thank you

    Hi there Susan,

    Isn't reaching that 180-day mark so exciting!?  I bet you've thought about lots of delicious dining experiences you'd like to try on your upcoming visit and it's almost time to nail them down with advanced reservations!

    You can go ahead an make reservations even though you haven't purchased your dining plan but for you will have to pay in full at the time of booking for experiences that require pre-payment such as Cinderella's Royal Table.  Once you purchase your Dining Plan, you can call Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE to have your Dining Plan information linked to those reservations and a refund will be applied to your card in instances where pre-payment was made.

    For reservations that do not require pre-payment, there is no need to link your Dining Plan, as your server will ask if you have one when you are seated at each restaurant.  You may be required to place a credit card guarantee on non pre-payment reservations even with the Dining Plan, but no charges will be made unless you forfeit the reservation without cancellation.
