Visiting in September 2013 and already planning our meals.Trying to do a TS meal in Animal Kingdom. Which restaurants would you recommend? Have heard of Sanaa and was wondering if it is worth it to leave the park to eat then go back.We are not picky eater

    Hi Patrice!

My son and I love eating at the Animal Kingdom!  I have two great Animal Kingdom park Table Service restaurant suggestions for you.  The first is the Tusker House Restaurant which is a wonderful buffet located in the Africa section of the Animal Kingdom.  The second is the Yak & Yeti Restaurant located in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom which features pan-Asian food in a great setting.  The benefit of staying in a park for dinning is that you save a lot of travel time and have more time in the park.  There are two restaurants near to Animal Kingdom that I would recommend and they are Boma - Flavors of Africa (in the Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House) and Sanaa  (in the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village).  All you have to do is get on a bus at Animal Kingdom that is going to Animal Kingdom Lodge to get to either of these two amazing restaurants.  Keep in mind that it will take about 40 minutes total of travel time to get to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and back and your meal with take about 1 to 2 hours.  When you factor all of that time in, you are looking at between 2 to 3 hours away from the park if you choose to dine outside the park.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
