Greetings, Jessica! Thanks for bringing your questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I adore visiting the Disneyland Resort in September because the parks are decked out in autumn and Halloween decor and you can often meet characters dressed in their Halloween costumes. However, now that the peak summer months have past, this often means that the fireworks are only scheduled on weekends. I took a look at the
entertainment schedule for your travel dates, and it appears that the only fireworks will be the Halloween Screams: A Villainous Surprise in the Skies which is only for Guests with a separately-purchased ticket for
Mickey's Halloween Party on September 27 and 29. Additionally, the nighttime parade will be the Frightfully Fun Parade, also during Mickey's Halloween Party.
If you aren't participating in the Halloween party fun this year, you can certainly enjoy the nighttime spectacular,
World of Color in Disney California Adventure Park which will be performed each night of your visit. To make this event even more special, consider a World of Color Dining Package or the Dessert Party!
Finally, you are absolutely welcome to bring in your own snacks. Just make sure they aren't packaged in glass containers. You can also take advantage of the many gluten-free snack options like
fresh fruit and popcorn carts located throughout the parks. Furthermore, the majority, if not all, of the quick service and table service dining locations have allergy friendly menu options that you can enjoy.
I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
