    We are visiting in Sept. 2011. I don't see Ariel's Grotto on the customizable map for the Magic Kingdom, is it still available?

    Hi Nancy,

    September is a great time to visit Disney World! Fun that you are doing the customizable maps! My boys love to do them.

    The Fantasyland Expansion is in full force at the Magic Kingdom and Ariel's Grotto is now closed. When the expansion is complete (sometime in 2013), Ariel will have a new attraction Under the Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid.  I can't wait!

    Currently, Guests can meet Ariel in her human form at the Adventureland Veranda Gazebo at the Magic Kingdom. She along with other characters from the Little Mermaid appear intermittently throughout the day.

    You can also see Ariel in the Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade held most afternoons in the Magic Kingdom.

    Be sure to check the Times Guide when you enter the Magic Kingdom for appearance times for Ariel and other character greeting.  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
