Hi Tim!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.
I’m delighted to see you’re heading to the Happiest Place on Earth in mid-September. I bet you’re excited to
return to a land of Magic and experience all the pixie-dusted fun.
Dining reservations have been booked up very quickly, especially at popular locations like
Blue Bayou Restaurant. I suggest checking regularly on
Disneyland mobile app or
Disneyland.com for occasional openings. Recently, my friend was able to get a dinner reservation for Blue Bayou Restaurant just a couple of days before her park visit. Plans change and people may cancel their reservations, which will open up and allow others to book.
Alternatively, you can try to join the walk-up list when you’re at Disneyland Park. In mid-June, on a trip with my fellow Panelist friends, we didn’t have a dining reservation for Blue Bayou Restaurant; we inquired about the walk-up list and were able to be seated after just a short wait. Sometimes, I find that there are better chances for dining when I join the walk-up list during “off-peak” mealtimes. For example, maybe try for a late lunch or early dinner.
I wish you the best of luck, Tim! If you have additional questions with planning your upcoming trip, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again. We’re all EARS!
Have a magical day,
Kiki
