Hi we will he visiting port orleans during Hanukkah, are we allowed to light the menorah in our room or should we bring an electric one? They are dripless smokeless candles if that is relevant.

Hiya, Caitlin! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us.

Your Walt Disney World adventure is quickly approaching! How exciting! Soon you’ll be immersed in the magic, enjoying everything the Vacation Kingdom of the World has to offer. Which attractions will you go to first? Which shows will you see? Most importantly, which snacks are you going to eat? The choices are almost endless!

I searched the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, which includes a list of prohibited items. The prohibited items list includes flammable objects, which I imagine includes candles, so bringing your electric menorah sounds like a great idea.  You can find the full list of prohibited items and resort rules here, or feel free to call the Non-Reservation Support line to speak with a friendly Cast Member if you have additional questions about what you can or cannot bring to Walt Disney World.

As you prepare for your upcoming vacation, make sure you check out the Disney Parks Blog for all the up-to-date news and details about events around Walt Disney World. I especially love the Foodie Guides, like this new one for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, because they highlight new and seasonal treats. I’d also recommend visiting the planDisney video library for great tips and tricks for planning your vacation.

Caitlin, I hope this information is helpful and that you have a happy Hanukkah while visiting Walt Disney World! Pop right back if you have any other vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
