Hello Jessica!
For my family, no trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is complete without a dip in the fabulous resort pools. In our experience it is rare for it to truly be "too cool" to swim. Also, the pools across the resort are heated to a comfortable 83 degrees all year long. We have swam in December and January with no problem.
Additionally, there will be other activities to enjoy. Each resort has there own activity schedule and you should check in with your front desk to inquire about the daily schedule. I do know that every day at
Disney's Pop Century you can partake in some classic dance moves including the Twist and the Hustle. In the Classic Hall you will also find shopping and an arcade. The last time we stayed at this groovy resort, there were evening movies poolside.
We also like to do a bit of resort hopping during our stay. The easiest way to see some other spectacular resorts is to take the bus to Magic Kingdom and jump on the Monorail to visit Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. For there you can take a beautiful boat ride to Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. At "the Fort" you can partake in
pony rides and a fabulous
campfire extravaganza.
As you can see, there is much to do at the Walt Disney World Resort and I have touched on just the tip of the iceberg. I hope this helps with our planning.
See ya real soon!
Anne
