We are visiting in 2025 and I was planning my days in the app. Why will it not let you plan the check in day for a water park?

Surf's up, Linda! Thanks for splashing into the planDisney question pool with your vacation question today; it sounds like you'll be taking advantage of the new complimentary water park admission perk as a Disney Resort hotel guest in 2025 - what better way to dive into the magic than by visiting one of the two Disney Water Parks when you arrive?

When planning for your visit using the complimentary Disney Genie on the My Disney Experience mobile app, the service only allows you to connect your days to one of the four Theme Parks at this time. This is likely because your Tip Board in the app is going to be connected to any Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane selections you make, which are only available for the Theme Parks, not the Water Parks. Rest assured, though, even if you cannot connect your water park plans to the app at this time, you are more than welcome to visit the water park on the day of your check-in!

Linda, at this time, the Disney Water Parks operate on a rotating schedule; so when Disney's Blizzard Beach is open, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is closed for refurbishments and vice versa. While we don't know if this pattern will continue into 2025, if it does, the traditional schedule suggests that Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park would be operating during your summer 2025 vacation. Be sure to check out all of the attractions ahead of time so you can plan your day - whether you're chasing thrills on Humunga Kowabunga or chasing chills in Castaway Creek, there's something for everyone at Typhoon Lagoon!

At Disney's Blizzard Beach, you can hit the slopes to twist and turn down the mountain on Summit Plummet (if you dare!) or you can gather the whole family for a raft ride on Teamboat Springs before catching waves in the wave pool or floating down the lazy river to relax! No matter which water park you visit, there are so many activities to enjoy!

Linda, I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy all the planning and counting down the days until next summer! Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest announcements and information as your trip gets closer, and of course, come back to planDisney any time if you have any other questions we can help you with! Just like the Genie, we're more than happy to tap into our phenomenal cosmic power to help you make the most of your days at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
