We will be visiting the parks the week after Christmas and have been unable to acquire a reservation for any character dining, Be Our Guest, or Ohana. Is all hope lost? When is the most common date range for cancellations?

    Happy Holidays, Emily!

Your week of travel is Walt Disney World® Resorts busiest time of the year, and also the most wonderful! All hope is not lost in trying to secure some of your desired dining reservations.

Here are a few tips that have been successful for me:

    • Check online daily during non-peak hours (early morning, late evening)

    • Occasionally call in for your request at 407-WDW-DINE

    • Download the My Disney Experience App to your smart phone to check for reservations while on-the-go

    • Stop by the Concierge Desk located in the lobby of your Resort Hotel and speak to Cast Member who can check for available reservations.

The highest probability of securing a reservation will occur 48-24 hours prior to your desired day. Walt Disney World Resort has a 24 hour cancelation policy before the guest is charged a $10.00 fee for each guest listed on the reservation, so that window is the most likely opportunity to snag a reservation. Keep in mind, you probably won't get your desired time of day, but as long as you are flexible, you just might find yourself dining with Beast in his castle after all.

I hope this helps, Emily! Please let us know if you should have any additional questions. We are here to help. I'm also sending a little pixie dust your way!
