I will be visiting the parks with my son, who will be 4 years old (a few months from 5). He really wants to build his own lightsaber. Is it possible to reserve a spot in Savi's Workshop if I attend with him? Or is the 5 year old age limit firm?

Bright suns, Brad! Thanks so much for stopping by the planDisney panel, where it would be my pleasure to help you make your son’s Jedi dreams come true on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

While I have not yet experienced Savi’s Workshop for myself, I am told that it is simply incredible! However, it is an experience that is geared toward the slightly older crowd. While a 4-year-old would not be banned from entering and could be your guest, the youngest recommended age is 5. However, I am told that there is not much interaction for them, and they might find it a little bit dark and overwhelming. Instead, I highly recommend another option for your son; Tatooine Traders will offer the opportunity for him to create his own lightsaber or droid right within a desert dome! My sources tell me that it is a much more interactive experience and incredibly fun at that age! You can also build a droid at the Droid Depot, picking the parts right from a conveyor belt!

Brad, I hope that this information is helpful to you as you continue to make plans for an out-of-this-world visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! I hope your little Jedi lives his Star Wars adventure from start to finish. If there is any other way we may help you plan, please know that we are hEAR for you every step of the way!

    Til the spire!
