I am visiting the parks next month but will be staying offsite. I was hoping to spend at least one early morning (5-8AM) taking walks at the resorts. How would I go about doing this if possible (How to get there, where to park/get dropped off etc) Thanks!

    Hello there, Anthony!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Oh boy! It sounds like you'll be heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few short weeks. I'm here to help you plan out your relaxing morning at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Anthony, I like your style. There's nothing more refreshing than an early morning stroll or jog around the Disney Resort hotels! It's my favorite way to start off a perfect Disney day. One of my favorite areas to explore at dawn is the walking path from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Magic Kingdom Park. (Usually, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort can also be accessed via this path, but it's currently closed due to ongoing construction.) Since parking at Disney Resort hotels is reserved for registered Guests or those with dining reservations, you could schedule a breakfast reservation at Grand Floridian Cafe to take advantage of complimentary parking and enjoy a delightful meal after your morning stroll. Guests can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, so I encourage you to secure a booking as soon as possible!

Another enchanting spot to enjoy during the early morning hours is Disney's BoardWalk. If you're able to snag a dining reservation at Trattoria al Forno, you could take a scenic stroll around Crescent Lake and finish your magical morning with a magnificent meal! Alternatively, the BoardWalk Deli offers Quick-Service breakfast staples like breakfast sandwiches and pastries. To enjoy this dining option (which doesn't take reservations), you'd want to utilize a rideshare service to get dropped off at Disney's BoardWalk Inn. This might be a good option for the day you plan to visit EPCOT because you could enter the theme park via the International Gateway instead of the main entrance!

Anthony, my final recommendation is to visit Disney's Riviera Resort for a relaxing morning walk and breakfast. Primo Piatto is arguably the best Quick-Service restaurant at any of the Disney Resort hotels and the walking paths between Disney's Riviera Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are some of the most beautiful on property. You could use a rideshare service to be dropped off at Disney's Riviera Resort, complete your morning walking workout, sit down for a wonderful breakfast at Primo Piatto, then head to Disney's Hollywood Studios or EPCOT via the Disney Skyliner!

I hope these suggestions have provided you with some food for thought, Anthony. I'm wishing you many magical mornings at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any more planning questions before your trip, you're always welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,
