We are visiting the Parks this May. My Mother will require a rental ECV every day but is worried about the "walk" from the Parking lot to the Rental booth outside the parks. Can we park in disability-parking with Illinois Permit on hand?

Hi Josie! It is good you are planning ahead for your upcoming Disney vacation. Each park will have wheelchairs as well as scooters available for rent but they are on a first come basis. We have found the regular chairs to be easier to work with in the parks but I also understand that each situation is different.

You will be allowed to park in the handicap area of each lot if you can provide the proper tags and it doesnt' matter from what state they are issued from. As you enter ask the attendant at the gate where the handicap parking is located and they will direct you to this location. Please ask as the attendants will try to guide you with the rest of the guests to the regular parking lots and you want to be aware of where you need to go instead. There are trams to then take you as close to the entrance as possible making the walk fairly short. Take your time and make sure your party drinks lots of water as the weather in May will be starting to get warmer and warmer each day.

Wheelchair and stroller rentals are located just inside the park entrance. Cast members will be glad to guide you to the location.  Have a wonderful May trip!
