We will be visiting your parks in late Jan. I am a USMC combat veteran and have an ankle injury that prevents me from walking long distances. I may be having surgery before our trip making my mobility more questionable. what options are available to me?

First, thank you for your service.  Secondly, if you haven't done so already, please ensure that you look into "Disney's Armed Forces Salute", effective January 4 - December 23, 2009.  During this time period, active and retired U.S. Military personnel can enjoy a complimentary 5-Day Park Hopper, the option to buy more Park Hoppers for $99, per ticket plus tax, and greatly reduced room rates at many of the resorts.  For more information on this salute to you, please visit:

Regarding your mobility concerns, Disney World rents both wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) throughout the theme parks, water parks and at Downtown Disney.  Wheelchairs are also available at the resorts.  Please click HERE for specific rental locations and for current pricing information.  You can also call 407-939-6244 and a Cast Member can assist you with specific concerns.

Finally, if you have specific concerns or questions that I haven't addressed, please feel free to click HERE to be directed to the Guests with Disabilities page on the Disney website.

I hope you have a wonderful trip, you certainly deserve it!
