Hello! We are visiting all the parks January 26th -31st and I wanted to know what rides close down for the winter. Thanks.

    Hi Brooke,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I'm sure you're getting excited for your Walt Disney World vacation! I always find late January a wonderful time to visit. We took a trip just around that time last year to take in the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Our stay was so enjoyable and the festival was so much fun. I definitely encourage you to make the Epcot International Festival of the Arts a part of your plans.

Walt Disney World does schedule attraction closures for refurbishment. The best way to see what's scheduled for refurbishment is to check out the online Park Hours calendar. Looking at the Park Hours calendar for the time of your visit, Peter Pan's Flight and Tomorrowland Speedway — both in Magic Kingdom Park — are scheduled for refurbishment. Also in Magic Kingdom, the Walt Disney World Railroad will be staged at the Main Street U.S.A. Station rather than circling the park as work is done for the new Tron attraction. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is also scheduled to be closed.

The great news is that you'll be arriving in time to enjoy new experiences such as Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration and "Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party.”

Brooke, here's wishing you a magical stay at Walt Disney World.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
