Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Suzanne. I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question!
The Pirate's League is a swashbuckling experience for any little scallywag. My sons had their own pirate transformations a few years ago, and it was an adventure worthy of the high seas! From the moment they dropped anchor and received their official pirate name until they left as real buccaneers, they had the best time.
The summer months at the Walt Disney World Resort are certainly hot, so I totally understand your concern. I'm happy to report that my little guys experienced The Pirate's League in the heat of summer, and their makeovers withstood the high temperatures and humidity. I don't recommend standing in the sun for an extended period of time or participating in any water activities after an appointment, though. After we left The Pirate's League with our two pirates, we spent the morning hopping between air-conditioned attractions followed by lunch at
Be Our Guest Restaurant. We always return to our Disney Resort hotel in the afternoon to escape the hottest part of the day in the theme parks, and by then my youngest son was ready to wash his face paint off. My oldest son, however, completely embraced his pirate transformation and kept his face paint and accessories on until bedtime. We had dinner that evening at
Cinderella's Royal Table and as you can imagine, he gave those fair princesses quite a fright with his dastardly pirate look!
Did you know there is a bounty of
pirate-themed adventures at the Walt Disney World Resort? You can dive right in during your visit!
I hope this was helpful, Suzanne. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
