We are visiting the park at the end of March 2016- thinking of taking a day out of the parks and go to a water park instead- I am curious of the typical weather? Do people use the water parks all year?

    Hello, Allison,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip.  It will be here before you know it!  Disney Water Parks are so much fun and a perfect way to spend a day while at Walt Disney World.  We, too, like to take a break from the theme parks and spend a day at one of the water parks.

Aside from when renovations are being completed and a few days when the weather becomes too cold, the water parks are open year round with guests enjoying throughout the year. During the month of March, the average daily temperature is 67 degrees with an average daily high of 78 degrees and low of 54 degrees. All the water in the parks is heated, so you'll be able to enjoy yourself even if the outside air is a little chilly. However, at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Shark Reef is not heated so it can surprise you when you set foot in the water!

Wishing you a wonderful trip.  Please let us know if we can help again with any further questions. -Kara
