We are visiting the park in August and my girlfriend told our daughters she wanted a flash mob proposal, I thought it would be great to be able to do that with our 3 daughters involved when we're at disneyworld. Is this something that is possible?

    Hey there, Jason!

Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney! And let me say, I genuinely love your question.

You see, I'm a pure Disneyist at heart. I'm also a hopeless romantic at heart. So simply hearing the notion of wanting to stage a crisply choreographed jazzy hands song and dance proposal with a big ensemble dance cast featuring your own Fab Four becoming your own Fab Five at Walt Disney World is music to my ears. And not just any music, but big, rhythmic, percussive Disney music fit for cavalcades, parades, and sweeping spectaculars. I can kind of picture in my head how cool your idea could be. Something like, step, push, step, step-touch, kick, knee, will you marry me. It looks fun and cool just thinking about it. And, you know, even Walt Disney himself is often quoted as saying “It's kind of fun to do the impossible.”

Here's where I switch from my Disney Hopeless Romantic voice to my Rational Disney Dad voice. While I don't want speak for sure about what's possible or not possible with your specific idea in light of any property rules, I do want to encourage you to look for inspiration on how to make the most of your special moment.

One thought is to start here with my fellow planDisney Panelists, many of whom have offered some really wonderful insights on how to create beautiful backdrops for a "pop the question" moment. Try searching here at planDisney for "proposal" and "engagement" and you'll see many Panelist answers with suggestions for making the moment most special.

One of the suggestions you'll see mentioned quite frequently is to reach out to the team at Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons and talk with them specifically about ideas for your engagement. You might even want to follow their Ever After blog or join their community by following them on social media. I think you'll gather some great ideas for how you and your daughters can put together a proposal scene pixie-dusted with Disney magic.

If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you might try reaching out to the Resort Concierge to ask for additional ideas on how to celebrate the occasion.

As a Panelist here at planDisney, I'm rather simply just a Guest who loves to immerse myself in all the Disney magic, and who loves to share what I've learned with other Guests like you who are planning their visits. I also love to hear and see when Guests like you bring together their Disney moments and their memorable life moments.

Jason, I'm sure you and your three daughters will make the moment magical. I wish you all the best and many congratulations.

Here's to your Happily Ever After!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
