Hello, we are visiting the park April 23 and 24th and wanted to know if either park has any special events and is closing early and/or if any of the rides will be closed. I’ve been looking through the calendar but couldn’t find information

Hi there, Beatriz, and a very warm welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your great questions.

Sounds like you have a very special visit to the Disneyland Resort coming up! The end of April is such a bright and fun time to be in the parks - I'm so thrilled for you!

I can understand your desire to plan ahead and maximize the magic during your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth (I'm the same way!), however, park hours and attraction closure announcements are not released until about six weeks out. I encourage you to check the Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland website as your visit gets just a little bit closer. The Hours & Events Calendar is an incredibly helpful resource, not only for providing park hours and attraction closure information, but also includes an entertainment schedule, as well as the events occurring during your visit. Make sure your particular date is selected from the "Change Date" at the top. That said, it's important to know that the schedule can change at any time.

Beatriz, although we do have to wait for the Hours & Events Schedule to be updated, Disneyland has recently announced its Seasonal Events Calendar for 2026, which should help a bit with your planning. According to the website, the Food & Wine Festival will likely be happening while you're there so you can enjoy delicious bites, and, of course, you'll be in Disneyland to celebrate its 70th - so special! Disney went all out for this party of the decade with dazzling entertainment like Paint the Night Parade - which really has the "wow" factor. My too-cool-for-school middle schooler uttered "whoa" under his breath multiple times when he experienced it for the first time. The magic is real!

Although schedules are subject to change, there is always something sparkly and exciting happening in the parks!

Well, Beatriz, I hope this information has been helpful! And remember, if any other planning questions come up, anything from how to utilize the Disneyland app to where to find our favorite Disneyland treats, please don't hesitate to reach out again! We planDisney panelists can talk about our favorite place all day.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you the most magical visit, Beatriz!

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
