I will be visiting the park in April 08 and I am a big girl. I love the pirates ride and I know they renovated. Did they put new turnwheels in where you enter? Also does the Jungle cruise have turnwheels to enter? Some can be tight. Thank you.

I just love the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction too. You’ll really enjoy the new special effects. Watch for Captain Jack Sparrow, “if you please”.

The turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom are especially narrow. It might be because they were the first ones built. Rest assured that you do not have to access an attraction via the turnstile if it makes you uncomfortable.

Ask the Cast Member to allow you to proceed through the swinging gate which is often the handicap accessible entrance as well. Sometimes the auxiliary entrance is near the loading area of the attraction.

For example, at the Jungle Cruise, the rest of your party can stand in the regular line while you wait for them to reach the loading area. You will then enter the auxiliary entrance and join your party. There are many options, just ask a Cast Member so you can get the most enjoyment out of your vacation.

The turnstiles at the Pirates of the Caribbean were updated when the attraction went through the last rehab. They are now the type where you walk between 2 columns with no wheel.

    Enjoy a magical vacation!
