We are visiting one of the water parks in August. We can only visit one water park. Our kids are 16, 14, 12, and 7. Which water park do you think would be better for us to visit?

It depends on what kind of experience you're looking for.  Blizzard Beach is widely known for its heart-racing waterslides whereas Typhoon Lagoon has more of a reputation for being a relaxing tropical paradise.  That's not to say that you can't find tamer options at Blizzard Beach because they do exist, but if you're looking for wild water fun, Blizzard Beach is definitely the place to go.  Summit Plummet, for example, drops guests down a chute that reaches 120 feet high and is 500 feet long.

One of the big draws at Typhoon Lagoon is the giant wave pool where guests can hop in and enjoy the splash of the tidal waves that are generated in this massive body of water.  Typhoon Lagoon also is home to Shark Reef, where guests have the option to snorkel with the sharks.  Both parks have their own versions of a lazy river where you can just float along and enjoy a day in the sun.

So, in deciding which water park to visit, I suggest you consider which atmosphere would better suit the tastes of your family and go from there.  Have fun, and don't forget the sunscreen!
