Hi, Jen!
Don't give up just yet! There is always the possibility of being able to walk up to a Walt Disney World restaurant check-in podium and finding out that there is, in fact, room for your party that day. However, it's really hit-or-miss, and a very popular location such as Chef Mickey's might be hard to come by as a walk-up.
However, keep calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE or go to
Disney's online Dining Reservation page. Guests' plans change frequently, especially as vacations near, and some Advanced Dining Reservations that used to fit in with their schedules no longer do. You might be lucky enough to catch one of the cancellations if you keep trying.
Consider trying a different
character dining options. At Magic Kingdom, there's
The Crystal Palace, where Pooh and friends visit while Guests enjoy a wonderful buffet that offers items which are very similar to that at Chef Mickey's. Over at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, try 1900 Park Fare's Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with The Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins and more. Cape May Cafe has a fantastic breakfast with Goofy and friends, and is located Disney's Beach Club Resort. There's also Lilo and Stitch at
'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast where Guests dine family-style, and the popular Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. All of these are fabulous opportunities to dine deliciously...with character. ;-)
Have a wonderful trip, and be sure to send more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
