Hi there, Robyn! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a sweet holiday planning question! I love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!
Eeeek! In just weeks, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your magical adventure. How exciting! With the
50th Anniversary Celebration still going strong and the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival in full swing, you couldn't be visiting Walt Disney World Resort at a better time. Now, let's start your magical countdown and chat about this incredibly important topic: sweet treats.
Doesn't The Sword in the Sweet look adorable and sound delicious?! "Cookies 'n Cream Cheesecake Mousse with Chocolate Cookie Crumble topped with Crispy Pearls and a Cookie Sword?" Yes, please! You can find this delectable dessert on the kids' dessert menu for lunch and dinner at
Cinderella's Royal Table inside the stunning Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park. This regal and iconic restaurant is very popular, so I highly recommend making an Advanced Dining Reservation as soon as possible to enjoy this fantastic dining experience and sweet treat. Kid at heart? I can relate! If you prefer The Sword in the Sweet over the desserts on the adult menu, just talk to your server. Bibbidi ... Bobbidi ... BOO!
While Guests used to be able to order a chocolate Cinderella slipper to be presented during their meals at Cinderella's Royal Table, as far as I know, that is no longer offered. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries," my fellow chocolate-loving Cindy fan! The Clock Strikes Twelve, which is a dark chocolate mousse with a caramel and praline center, chocolate sauce and hazelnut gelato is
fabulous. So, this is love.
If you want more Cinderella-inspired sweet treats, one of my favorite Disney desserts is the Cinderella Cupcake at
Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is just a short walk or monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. The cupcake is a yellow cake filled with vanilla custard, topped with buttercream and decorated with a white chocolate Cinderella slipper and an adorable fondant pumpkin. It's a dream dessert that my heart is wishing for right now!
I hope this was helpful, Robyn, and I hope you have the sweetest time on your pixie-dusted holiday! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in planDisney!
Touch every star in the sky,
Mandy
