We are visiting in October and it will be our 4 and a half year olds first time. I would like to do something special for her to be in our room when we get there. I looked at the Princess packs, but it sure seems like $435 is a lot to spend. Suggestions?

    Hi Teresa,

You certainly don't have to spend in excess of $400 to surprise your daughter during her first trip to Walt Disney World.  The Disney Florist has a whole host of less expensive, yet still enchanting options.  For instance, if she is a big fan of the Disney princesses, consider having a Bibbidi Bobbidi Balloon Bouquet left in your room for her to discover.  That will certainly get her attention and it costs less than $75.

I'm also a big fan of the fun Mickey-themed welcome gifts that the Disney Florist puts together.  For instance, the Mickey, Minnie, and Me package comes with mouse ears, an autograph book, and a plush Mickey and Minnie for your daughter.  My parents sent a package similar to this to my son when he first visited Walt Disney World at age five.  He still has that plush Mickey and all the wonderful memories that accompanied that trip.

Snoop around the Disney Florist site.  I guarantee you'll find something in the right price range that will simply delight your daughter.  I'd also consider calling room service at your resort when you check in.  I've done this several times and have been thrilled at the options that they have offered me with regard to sending treats and surprises to my room.  One time I sent milk and home-made cookies to my niece and nephews while they were on vacation.  You never know what great options are available until you call room service.  I've found that the cast members working there are quite eager to help you put together a fun and tasty surprise for your loved ones.

Wishing your daughter the most pixie-dusted first trip to Walt Disney World ever!
