Hiya Amy - welcome to planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love helping Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort holidays!
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise is such an amazing new thrill at
Magic Kingdom Park. I'm so glad to hear that you're including it in your itinerary! I don't see any problem with what you're describing but do want to clarify a couple of points to make sure you get the most out of your visit.
You see, Amy, Park Hopping typically refers to visiting more than one of the four magical Theme Parks on the same day. The Walt Disney World
Water Parks are separately ticketed, though your Theme Park Tickets may also include a certain number of visits to a Water Park. Every ticket is different, so you'll want to confirm that you have Water Park visits included.
If so, you'd simply want to make a
Park Pass Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park on the day you want to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run. The morning of that day, you'll purchase your
Individual Lightning Lane access for TRON at a time for later in the day. If you are a Disney Resorts Collection Guest, you will be able to do so at 7 a.m. but will have to wait until the posted opening time of Magic Kingdom Park otherwise. You'll simply use the My Disney Experience App and do not need to be at Magic Kingdom Park to purchase Individual Lightning Lane access.
You can then spend the beginning of your day at a Water Park before heading over to Magic Kingdom Park. Just make sure to save enough time to get there and make it to TRON in time to use your Lightning Lane access!
I hope this information helps get you on the right planning path, Amy! You might also consider hopping over to EPCOT to check out the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival during your holiday!
See ya real soon!
