Hello, we will be visiting from Oct 30-8 Nov. I looked at the Animal Kingdom park hours and see that the park closes at 5PM. Do they not have the night time activities during that time of the year? Really wanted to see rivers of light. Thanks

    Hi Roger!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. With the addition of new nighttime hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Guests have a chance to experience all of the magic that the theme park has to offer after dark. I have had the opportunity to enjoy the park at night twice now and the park is definitely alive with new amazing sights and sounds. It really is like experiencing an entirely new theme park! Currently, the hours for Disney's Animal Kingdom have been extended to include late evening hours into September. However, I can tell you from my vacation planning experience that theme park hours are often adjusted and extended as my vacation date approaches. As there has been no indication that nighttime entertainment and events at Disney's Animal Kingdom are seasonal or temporary, I recommend that you continue to check park hours as your vacation gets closer for updates. Also, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for additional updates as that is the best source of breaking news about Walt Disney World Resort!

Just like you, I am so excited to see Rivers of Light! Currently, there is no opening date set for this new nighttime show, but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as the opening date should be announced there first! Please let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
