Hi Lisa!
That's a hard choice as both the Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club are great resorts. However, here are my personal pros for each resort:
Wilderness Lodge:
- Easy access to the Magic Kingdom via a boat that runs about every 15 minutes
- Easy access to Fort Wilderness and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue via boat service
- Easy access to the monorail resorts by taking a boat to the Contemporary and then the monorail
- Good Quick Service Restaurant on site
Beach Club:
- Easy access to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios via a walking path or a boat. You can walk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot, between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions, in about 5 minutes; the walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios is much longer.
- Easy access to great dining at the other resorts on Crescent Lake and in Epcot's World Showcase via the International Gateway entrance
- Stormalong Bay; easily the best pool at Walt Disney World. It is a sand-bottom pool and is absolutely spectacular
- Relaxed Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe
Since you specifically asked about the pool and Quick Service restaurant, I'll point out that while the Beach Club, in my opinion, has the best pool at Walt Disney World, it's Quick Service restaurant is small and limited. The Wilderness Lodge has a better Quick Service restaurant, but its pool is no where near as nice as the Beach Club.
If you plan on spending a lot of time in the pool, then I highly recommend staying at the Beach Club. Stormalong Bay is a mini-water park and a lot of fun; my children, ages 5 and 10, could spend one or two days just as the resort pool!
Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
