We will be visiting November 11-15. I was wondering if the gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian will be up then and whether there are any other must-see holiday attractions or other special treats we need to know about?

Hi, Edward!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your question has me looking forward to the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort.  Visiting Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see the beautiful three-story Victorian Christmas tree and the life-sized gingerbread house is one of my holiday must-dos.  I can almost smell the heavenly gingerbread aroma just thinking about it!

In past years, the gingerbread house has appeared in the lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa sometime in mid-November.  Last year's gingerbread displays were ready prior to National Gingerbread Day on November 21.  I have not yet heard for certain when this year's gingerbread house will be constructed, but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news and announcements.

Edward, you have chosen a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort.  Your trip falls near the beginning of this year's holiday festivities, but your vacation will also overlap with some favorite fall events as well.  This year's Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is the longest festival in this event's history.  The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs through November 23, 2019, so be sure to take advantage of all the tasty food and beverage options that this event has to offer.  The loaded macaroni & cheese at Active Eats and the maple bourbon cheesecake at The Cheese Studio were two of my favorites.

This year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be held on select nights starting on November 8, 2019.  I highly recommend attending this enchanting event.  Nothing puts me in the holiday spirit quite like watching the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and seeing Elsa transform Cinderella Castle into a sparkling ice palace.  This year, guests attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be treated to a brand-new holiday fireworks spectacular.  I am really looking forward to this year's party, and I hope you will be able to attend as well.

Wishing you a happy holiday season and a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
