I am visiting in November and am thinking of going to MVMCP. If I choose not to buy tickets to the party, can we still stay for the parade and fireworks or will we be asked to leave? Does MK get more crowded for MVMCP for the first parties in early Nov?

    Hi Kristina,

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is a super fun event at the Magic Kingdom (MK). It does require a separate special event ticket to attend & only those Guests with the special event tickets are allowed to enter or remain in the park when the party begins. Guests who want to spend the day at the MK & attend MVMCP on the same day will need 2 different tickets - a regular ticket for admission during the day & a ticket to MVMCP for that evening.

MVMCP begins at 7:00 p.m. & lasts until midnight. Once party goers enter the park, they are given a special wrist band which indicates they have tickets to this event. Cast Members will be stationed at the entrances to the different themed lands. Guests who aren't wearing wrist bands for the event that evening will be asked to make their way down Main Street to exit the park.

There is a limited number of tickets sold for MVMCP so even when I've been there on an evening when the event is sold out, I've still be able to do everything I've wanted to do & have a great time.

Disney has not announced the 2011 MVMCP dates yet. The Disney Parks Blog announced the 2010 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party & MVMCP dates on May 21, 2010. Hopefully we'll find out around that time this year too if not sooner.

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog regarding the official dates as they usually make announcements there. If you're on twitter, follow @DisneyParks & @WaltDisneyWorld. If you're on Facebook, keep an eye on the official Disney World Facebook page. You're also welcome to check back with us in a few weeks.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
