Hello David, and welcome to planDisney.
There are so many ways in which I could magically begin.. but first, I must offer my hEARtfelt congratulations on your wedding and upcoming honeymoon!
I'm thrilled to hEAR that your pixie-dusted honeymoon to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the river bend in only a few short days time at the end of this month - oh boy! And of course, I can just imagine how super excited both you and your beloved must be feeling right about now.
Next, I'd like to try to reassure you that you'll discover many helpful
Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities at Walt Disney World Resort, including the highly inclusive
Disability Access Service (DAS). I know from my own personal experience of visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a close family member with a non-visible disability, that you'll find Cast Members to be incredibly helpful should you require any assistance at all during your visit.
And lastly, as the current
UK Panelist here at planDisney, I'm truly able to provide Guests with a uniquely British perspective on visiting Walt Disney World Resort from across the pond!
David, I'm happy to share with you that only very recently have Guests been able to pre-register via video chat for the Disability Access Service (DAS). Unfortunately, this new service is not yet available to Guests residing within the United Kingdom, which will explain why you've been going around in circles on the
Walt Disney Travel Company website!
However, all is not lost, and I do have some great news to share with you, David! Guests from the UK will be able to register for the Disability Access Service (DAS) upon entering any Disney Theme Park by simply stopping by
Guest Relations. You'll also no doubt be pleased to learn that any DAS that's provided, will be good for the length of your stay at Walt Disney World Resort.
Just in case you did have any last-minute concerns, it's always possible to email knowledgeable Cast Members via:
disability.services@disneyparks.com
David, I sincerely hope that I've been able to allay some of your anxieties today. And now, all that remains is for me to wish you and your darling spouse a truly happily ever after!
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
