We will be visiting from Nov.28-Dec.2, 2010, staying at AKLodge. Have read MANY poor reviews of bus transportation from AK to the parks--long waits-full buses, etc. Has this gotten better; any advise? thx!

    Hi Shawn,

Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's favorite Disney properties.  The ability to stare out your resort room, or one of many common areas at the resort and see exotic wildlife is absolutely incredible.  The lobby is truly spectacular, and Boma, Jiko and Sanaa are fantastic dining options.  The main pool is themed after an African watering hole and is a wonderful retreat after a long day in the parks.

We have honestly never had any issues or trouble with the transportation from Animal Kingdom Lodge to and from the theme parks.  The resort is a bit further from Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios then some other resorts, so travel time is a few minutes longer, but in my experience, the buses were reliable and convenient.  We never experienced a longer wait time at either the parks or the resorts than we have at other Disney properties (and we've stayed at just about all of them.)

I'm hoping you'll agree that Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fantastic choice after your magical trip!
