Hi Jill, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It makes my heart so happy that you’ll be taking your granddaughters on their first visit to Walt Disney World – and during the holiday season, too! My children have made so many Disney memories with their grandparents, and I’m so excited for you and your girls to share those moments together.
You will have no shortage of festive fun during your visit, Jill. Included in your theme park admission is
Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays, which celebrates the holiday traditions of cultures around the world. See the storytellers in the countries around the World Showcase and watch the truly spectacular Candlelight Processional, which tells the story of Christmas through song and narration. For a minimal extra cost, there are plenty of scrumptious holiday treats for sale, and my kids love Chip 'n' Dale's Christmas Tree Spree, which is a scavenger hunt around the World Showcase.
There's also a
Flurry of Fun over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Sunset Seasons Greetings and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! are really cute and fun Christmas-themed shows, and be sure to see the decorations around the park. I think your girls will especially love seeing the decorations Andy has planned for the toys and his backyard in Toy Story Land. You can even meet Santa Goofy in the park!
From the Christmas Tree Trail in Disney Springs to the gorgeous resort decorations (don’t miss the life-sized Gingerbread House in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) to the stunning décor and treats in the four theme parks, so much holiday joy awaits on your sweet granddaughters’ first visit!
Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
Robyn
