Hi- I will be visiting in Nov with a 2yo and 7 mo. I am trying to decide between a moderate resort or the akl. My priority is convenience. My son loves animals but I understand that the AKL is a bit of a distance from Mk. Any recommendations? Thank you

When traveling with children as young as yours, Laura, I think that having convenience as a priority is completely justified!  Many guests with such young children spend the majority of their time at Magic Kingdom and, yes, it is quite a distance from the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  That said, the moderate resorts really don't offer an advantage over the Animal Kingdom Lodge with regard to transportation to the Magic Kingdom; you'll have to board the bus (or drive yourself) either way.  The most convenient option would be to stay in one of the monorail resorts, but they are pricey.  In your shoes (assuming room rate is not a deterrent), I would choose the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Your son will be wowed with the ability to see animals grazing right off the lobby and you'll still be able to spend plenty of time at Magic Kingdom--just allow a bit extra travel time.  I hope that helps!
