Hi Susan:
There are many wonderful places to dine at Epcot, and my family makes a habit of dining at the park at least two or three times a vacation. Since you've dined in Mexico before and you are looking for someplace new, a great place to have a big meal is at
Biergarten (Germany pavillion). Biergarten features a large buffet, so your family will leave satisfied. The food is German-themed, so you'll find a number of dishes featuring sausage. You'll also be able to enjoy other items on the buffet, including chicken, pork roast carved to order, and plain old mac 'n' cheese.
Other fun Epcot restaurant recommendations your family may enjoy include:
- Teppan Edo (Japan pavillion): an entertaining Japanese restaurant where chefs cook on grills at the table in front of you.
- Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room (United Kingdom pavilion) serving British pub cuisine, such as fish 'n' chips and bangers and mash, along with a large selection of British beers.
- Le Cellier Steakhouse (Canada pavilion) featuring wonderful steaks and seafood dishes and a great wine selection.
Since you have picky eaters in your family, check out recent menus to help you finalize your choice. A great site for menus is allears.net. Just search for "menus" and scroll down to the list of Epcot restaurants. Also, while at a Disney restaurant don't be afraid to make any food requests, even at a buffet. If Disney is able to honor your request, they will be happy to do so.
Enjoy your vacation.
