I am visiting for 3 nights and 3 days. My first night I am staying off property, the next 2 at Wilderness Lodge. My park ticket is a 3-day park-hopper ticket. My first park day precedes my one off-property night. When can I book all my lightning lanes?

Hi Hannah, and welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and eating all the Mickey-shaped snacks in just a few weeks?!. So let’s make sure you’re all set to book your Lightning Lane selections.

Disney Resort hotel guests can buy Lightning Lane Passes seven days ahead of check-in for their entire length of stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can purchase Lightning Lane Passes three days in advance. Since you’re visiting the theme parks before you check into Wilderness Lodge, you’ll need to buy your Lightning Lane Passes (and make your selections) on two different dates to take advantage of the early booking perk for Disney Resort hotel guests. The first will be seven days before your check-in date at Wilderness Lodge, when you can buy Lightning Lane Passes for your second and third park days (since it sounds like they fall during your Wilderness Lodge stay). Then, three days before your first park day, you’ll be able to purchase Lightning Lane Passes for that first day (since it falls before you check into a Disney Resort hotel).

Don't forget that you get select attraction photos and videos as part of your Lightning Lane Pass purchase. My family loves these candid pictures more than our posed shots in front of Cinderella Castle! You'll need a MagicBand or eligible mobile device to link these types of photos (there are tips on the Attraction Photos and Videos page that are helpful for making sure you're ready for your trip).

Now, let’s chat about your Wilderness Lodge stay. I absolutely love this relaxing oasis inspired by the Pacific Northwest, and the short boat ride to Magic Kingdom is such a peaceful way to start the day! One of my family’s must-dos is eating lunch or dinner at Geyser Point Bar & Grill, either through the Walk-Up List, if you want to sit in the covered table service area, or by mobile ordering from the To Go counter and heading to the chairs by the water or the tables closer to the pool. The Bison Cheeseburger there is one of my favorite burgers at Disney World! Geyser Point is also a great place to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. Check the My Disney Experience app for when this fun little light and music show will stop by the Wilderness Lodge waterfront!

I hope you have the most magical stay at Disney World later this month. And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
