    We will be visiting with our niece on her birthday. Is it possible to get a cake at a character dining event, or only sit down restaurants? We are thinking about the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

    Hi Suzanne!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Your niece will love celebrating her birthday at Walt Disney World!  Be sure to get her a complimentary Happy Birthday pin to wear during her visit.  You can pick one up at your resort check-in desk, or at Guest Relations at any of the four theme parks.  This may get her some extra-special greetings or birthday wishes!

    Character dining is considered a Table Service restaurant, meaning that you have a couple of options for a celebration cake.  If you just want something small to mark the occasion, you can just inform the host/hostess upon arrival that you would like a small 6" chocolate or vanilla cake to be brought to your table. There is a reasonable charge for this and no advance notice is necessary. You could also order a custom celebration cake from Walt Disney World by calling 407-827-2253.  They have many options, price ranges, designs, etc. and with 48 hrs. notice, will deliver to most Table Service restaurants.  Also, be sure to inform the host/hostess at each restaurant you dine at that you are celebrating your niece's birthday. They will often sing a song or bring a cupcake to the table, which will be a fun way to celebrate!
