Hi there, Emma!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you stopped by with your question about your trip to Walt Disney World next yEAR! While it may seem as though it's a long wait now, I can guarantee that it will be here before you know it! So, it’s great that you are thinking ahead and asking all the questions now!
We all know the Florida sun can certainly get hot and taking every precaution to protect little Mouseketeers from the sun is of the upmost importance. It’s so nice that there are now a variety of options as far as swim shirts and swimsuits in addition to using sunscreen! Having protective clothing is such a convenience for moms and definitely helps put my mind at ease during long days in the sun! The dress code at both
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park state that swim attire must be free of exposed metal and zippers, so I would think that if your daughter’s water suit has either a plastic zipper OR a fully covered zipper you will be perfectly fine to put her in that. You just want to make sure that the metal isn’t exposed which from my experience many of those suits do have covered zippers. If you have a specific question about your particular piece you can also check directly with a Cast Member via the
chat feature online and provide them with the exact water suit in question! Also, please note that is your toddler is not fully potty-trained she will need to have a swim diaper on in the pool areas.
Hopefully you also plan on taking advantage of your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel’s pool during your stay, too! We always look forward to a relaxing evening swim after a long day at the theme parks and especially like to plan our day around any movies being shown poolside! Once you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you can inquire about any scheduled
“Movies Under the Stars” during your stay!
Wishing you a relaxing, magical and memorable vacation! Please come back with any other questions you have as you have!
