Hello! We will be visiting next year with a school group doing workshops with the students. Is there a way to split a stay between hotels before or after the program? I see we have to stay at Pop Century and also buy park tickets through the school program

Hi there, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question.

How exciting to be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth with a school group! It's such a gift to experience the magic of Walt Disney World surrounded by young people. Their joy and excitement are always contagious, so I'm sure you're in for a treat!

With its fun decor and convenient location on the Disney Skyliner, I'm sure your stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort will be all kinds of groovy. But Disney World is full of incredible, immersive resorts, and if you're anything like me, you want to experience them all! Ashley, I'm a BIG fan of split stays in Disney World. In fact, my family chooses a split stay almost every time we visit! Sometimes, it's to stay on budget. Other times, it's about convenience. But most of the time? It's just to shake things up with some fresh vibes and a brand-new atmosphere!

Fortunately, it's incredibly easy to book and pull off a split stay when you choose two (or more) Disney Resorts Collection hotels. To get started, use the Disney World website to select your second resort. You'll need to make a separate reservation for your desired dates, but if you've already purchased the total number of park tickets for your entire stay through the school program, you can book a hotel-only reservation. Otherwise, you'll want to purchase a vacation package, which includes extra tickets along with accommodations. When you're all squared away, you'll see both of your hotel reservations in your My Disney Experience app under the "My Plans" tab.

If you thought that was easy, Ashley, I'm happy to share that transferring resorts in Disney World is even easier! On the day of your transfer, call Bell Services from your room, and they'll come up to collect your luggage. You'll be free to spend the day in the parks, while your luggage makes its way to your second resort. When you're ready to check in, just pick up your baggage at Bell Services, and the transfer is complete!

I hope this information is helpful, Ashley, and that you enjoy your split stay in The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    Magic awaits,

    Allison
