I am visiting next week with my daughter who has Autism. It isn't a very noticeable case but I'm wondering if there's a way to help make the characters aware when we're meeting them without having to SAY every. Single. Time. Thoughts?

Greetings, Robin, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel from a fellow mom of a child with Autism.

Walt Disney World Resort vacations quickly became a tradition for our family after we continually witnessed my son's spontaneous developmental and social improvements. He truly comes into his own at the Disney Parks making it difficult leaving at the end of our visit.

Cast Members are always near the Disney Characters in costume and have a level of perception making the meet and greet rewarding and memorable. Cast Members are approachable, helpful and friendly and I have never had any difficulty with my son meeting his Disney buddies. If you're inclined, you may wish to drop a quick little introduction to the Cast Member, but I truly feel that the Cast Member will be sensitive to your needs without adding any extra pressure on you.

Walt Disney World Resort continually strives to afford all Guests an inclusive and memorable visit through Services for Guests with Disabilities which I offer for your preparation in advance of your vacation. As well, Disney's Disability Access Service may be of benefit to your travel party to facilitate your experience.

Robin, you may wish to control and customize your vacation through My Disney Experience online and mobile app for Advanced Dining Reservations, FastPass+ selections, personalizing MagicBands and more!

It has been a pleasure assisting you once again, and I wish you a wonderful vacation, Robin.
