Hello Bridget,
First of all, Happy Birthday to your mom! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. A birthday is certainly a great reason to visit Walt Disney World!
I'm so sorry to hear that there is no park availability for the dates you are planning to visit. I know that can be frustrating. Sometimes guests do make last minute changes to their plans and you may be able to get a reservation. I would keep refreshing the
park availability calendar. You can also try
contacting Guest Services to see if a Cast Member can help you out. They can't work miracles, but they do like adding a little pixie dust to a guest's vacation plans if it's possible. Their phone lines are quite busy. I suggest trying to call first thing in the morning or late in the evening, or you might want to use the Chat With Us feature in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. That way, you can easily be alerted when a Cast Member is available without having to sit in front of your computer.
Another option, if some parks are available for the days you want to visit, would be to get a ticket with a
Park Hopper Option. Make a reservation to whatever theme park is available. Go to that park in the morning and then at 2:00 PM you would be able to hop to any other park without a reservation.
In the meantime, you may want to consider some other options that don't require theme park reservations. Disney Springs is filled with wonderful dining options, from casual to upscale. You could spend the day shopping and maybe treat her to a special
50th anniversary celebration souvenir.
Enjoy a fantastic meal or just snack your way around Disney Springs. Treat her to a fantastic view of the World by
taking flight in Aerophile. You could even surprise your mom with tickets to see
Drawn to Life, the new Cirque du Soleil spectacle.
Hope this helps. Good luck, and no matter how you end up spending the day, have a magical celebration!
Diane
