We will be visiting 9/14 - 9/18. Mobility challenged, I'm on crutches, but with distance will need scooter. We won't be able to be at parks at opening, and will be in and out. Should I rent from an outside vendor?

Welcome to planDisney, Harold! I'm so glad you've stopped by.

For your very important question, I went straight to the source during my Disneyland visit a couple of days ago. A super friendly Cast Member at the Stroller and Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) rentals told me that scooters can sell out rather quickly on busy days. That day, they had sold out of scooter rentals at around 9:00 AM. So if you know that you'll need a scooter but the timing won't work out for you to be there first thing, it might be best to rent from a third party.

Fortunately, Disneyland has a featured provider for length-of-stay rentals that might be perfect for your needs. ScooterBug is a private company that takes pre-orders and offers delivery straight to your hotel. It's definitely worth giving them a call!

Harold, Disney days can be super long, so I've made it a habit to scope out the best resting spots at the resort. Some of my favorites are the Disneyland Railroad (a 30-minute round trip if you do a circle tour of the park!), the Tiki Room, Main Street Cinema, and the Mark Twain Riverboat in Disneyland Park. In California Adventure, I love the Animation Building, Pixar Pier, and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Most of these have some shade, and they are perfect for relaxing and recharging.

I hope this helps, Harold. Please visit again if you have any questions. I would be happy to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
