Hello! We'll be visiting mid-February. Our 5yo's favorite princess is Aurora; where can we find her if the princess tea is still not available?

    Hiya Brittany,

Welcome to planDisney! One of my favorite memories of my daughter at Walt Disney World Resort involves a Disney Princess (Snow White, to be specific), so this question warms my heart. I am honored to help make your little Princess’ dreams come true.

Our Royal Highness Princess Aurora often sleeps; as you can imagine, I think the effects of Maleficent’s curse are still lingering, so she tends to miss out on royal outings a lot. I wish I had a magic wand (or mirror) to find out exactly where she will be in February, but unfortunately, our fair drowsy lady is tricky. Here are some places she has been spotted before that may give clues to her whereabouts in February (although her exact meet-and-greet opportunities are subject to change). Princess Aurora has been known to appear at EPCOT in the France Pavillion from time to time and as a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park. Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather have poofed Aurora to one of my bucket list locations, the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall also. This beloved Storybook Dining experience is the perfect location for Aurora to pop up with some of her other royal pals. Recently one of my panelist pals was lucky enough to grab a hug from Princess Aurora during After Hours Events such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While the Christmas party will have ended by your visit, Disney’s After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park will be occurring on select nights in February, and there is a chance that due to the lower crowds, Princess Aurora will grace Guests with her presence.

As I mentioned earlier, I am not able to tell you for sure where Aurora will pop up, but I do want to give you a great way to look for her during your visit. You can locate all Princesses, heroes, heroines, and pals using the My Disney Experience mobile app. Select the map icon (second choice on the bottom of the screen) in the mobile app and locate the arrow next to “Wait Times” at the top. Click the arrow and select “Characters.” Once you choose that, click the “Show List” option in the right-hand corner and see if Aurora is awake from her slumber and where.

I hope that she accepts a royal audience during your visit and that your sweet Princess has all her dreams come true. Please come back and see us if there is anything else we can help you with, Brittany.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Texas

Hey Y'all! I’m Ashley and I live in Texas. My family and I love trying out the yummy snacks (DOLE Whip anyone!) and taking full advantage of our resort days. When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
