We are visiting in mid - Dec with my special needs son who is unable to eat solid foods. We're bringing all of his food but we have a DDP w/ 1 tb service & 1QS meal w/ a snack. Any suggestions on what we can do w/ his child credits ?

    Hey, Christel!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for bringing this fantastic question to us. I have a few suggestions that may help you with all your Disney Dining Plan meal credits.

First, contact Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) and speak with a Cast Member about your son's special needs. Walt Disney World Resort is a world leader in dietary accommodations; you may be surprised at what can be done by these fantastic head and sous-chefs.

Second, exchange one Quick-Service or Table Service credit for three snacks at participating Counter Service restaurants. For example, you may get three pieces of fruit or french fries or even bottled water. This is subject to Cast Member approval. If you are denied then kindly speak with a manager. It's not the best use of your credits but it will help you enjoy some delicious magic without additional expense.

Third, use the child table service credit to supplement an adult meal when you are not dining at a buffet.

Fourth, consider removing the Disney Dining Plan from your Magic Your Way Vacation Package. Since you are bringing all of his food you have the ability to save $22.85 (tax included) per night (prices subject to change at any time) on his meals. The way to determine if the Disney Dining Plan provides the best value is to look at the restaurant menus and pre-plan your meals. You may find that you are saving more money by not having the Disney Dining Plan for the adults in the family. Currently, and subject to change, adult (ages 10+ years) Disney Dining Plans are $63.70 (tax included) per night. Please contact a Cast Member or your Disney travel specialist about this option before canceling.

Christel, enjoy making many Magical Memories at Walt Disney World Resort.
