We will be visiting in May and I was wondering if I could use my Disney rewards to purchase tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show?

Hey there, Shannon. Welcome to planDisney

I am so excited to know that you have a trip planned to the Most Magical Place On Earth in May. That's such a great time to visit because the weather is just gorgeous. Hopefully, you'll schedule some time to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel's pool that you happen to be staying at. A little fun in the Florida sun sounds perfect!

Shannon, I recently enjoyed Drawn To Life Presented By Cirque Du Soleil & Disney and it was amazing. I am a really big fan of Cirque shows in general and this one fits perfectly at Disney Springs. At this time, Shannon, you are not able to prepurchase your tickets for the show using your Disney Rewards. This form of payment is similar to a Disney Gift Card and is not accepted for tickets ahead of time. However, if you wait and try to purchase tickets at the Box Office I am pretty certain you would be able to use your Disney Rewards. However, by doing this you risk not being able to see the show since it has been rather popular since opening.

You are able to use your Disney Rewards at many restaurants at Disney Springs. I am leaving a link to a list of places to use your rewards. Instead of purchasing your tickets, maybe think about using your rewards to enjoy a nice dinner before the show instead. The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs is my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World and did make the list of restaurants that accept Disney Rewards. My go-to order is their lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries - yum! Another great place to enjoy a nice dinner before a show is STK Orlando and they also do accept payment in the form of Disney Rewards. Both places do require advanced dining reservations but if you can't snag one the bar areas at both restaurants are open on a first-come, first-serve basis.

I hope you are able to enjoy the show on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, Shannon. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
